In comic reportage work I prioritize getting a feel for what it’s like to be situated in a particular space through vignettes and observations, and also superimpose personal reflections that arise.

Page 1/4. Documenting observations of the staple Toronto mall, Chinatown Centre, 2019. Chinatown Centre is my favourite location in downtown Toronto. I took written and visual notes on a weekend strolling through the mall, capturing parts of it I was afraid might disappear. The turnaround of stores in this particular mall is extremely high, and already the space already looks quite different from when I made this piece in 2019.
